  1. Purpose and Commitment:<\/strong><\/span> ULHUB is committed to creating a safe, respectful, and culturally grounded space for all participants in the Ukwuani language course. This includes protecting learners\u2014especially children, elders, and vulnerable individuals\u2014from harm, abuse, neglect, and discrimination, both online and offline. We uphold the Ukwuani values of \u1ecdm\u1eb9 (respect), \u1ecbkpa (responsibility), and \u1ecbkpa \u1ecdg\u1ecd (community care)<\/strong> in all safeguarding practices.<\/li><\/ol>
    1. Who This Policy Covers: <\/strong><\/span>This policy applies to:<\/li><\/ol>
      • All learners, regardless of age, background, or ability<\/li>
      • All facilitators, volunteers, and support staff<\/li>
      • All learning spaces, including virtual classrooms, forums, and communication platforms<\/li><\/ul>
        1. Core Safeguarding Principles<\/strong><\/span><\/li><\/ol>
          • Respect for Cultural Identity<\/strong>:<\/span> \u00a0ULHUB honour the linguistic and cultural heritage of Ukwuani learners and ensure safeguarding practices are inclusive and non-discriminatory.<\/li>
          • Zero Tolerance for Harm<\/strong>:<\/span> We do not tolerate any form of abuse\u2014physical, emotional, sexual, or financial.<\/li>
          • Safe Communication<\/strong>:<\/span> All interactions must be respectful, appropriate, and aligned with community values.<\/li>
          • Shared Responsibility<\/strong><\/span>: Safeguarding is everyone\u2019s duty\u2014from facilitators to learners.<\/li><\/ul>

                    If a learner feels unsafe or witnesses inappropriate behaviour, they should:<\/p>

                    • Know that all concerns will be handled with confidentiality and care<\/li><\/ul>
